A journey through the world of robotics: past, present and future

Kuwait, 9 Feb 2020: Under the patronage of His Highness, the Amir of Kuwait, the minister of education Dr. Saoud Al-Harbi launched the “KFAS Robotics and AI Festival: Rise of the Robots and Machines’ – a first-of-its-kind educational festival specifically targeting schools, youth and the general public.

The Festival is an interactive adventure taking audiences of all ages on a journey from smart machines in the past to the modern hi-tech world of robotic, AI and machine learning.

The 6 day event taking place between the 9th and 14th of February features an international range of state-of-the-art robots, hands-on activities, short films, and engaging live shows that enable learning through experience and play, sparking a passion for science and the pursuit of careers in STEM.

Visitors will see some of the world’s most famous robots coming together in one place and some will be acting in a highly engaging life show for the first time ever trying to discuss and outline some of the key concerns related to robotics and AI.

Through the four zones of the festival, visitors will get the opportunity to interact with robots with various abilities such as the world’s best actor robot, the most talented robot piano player; learn a few yoga moves from one of the most flexible robots, enjoy pancakes made by the most intricate robotics arms, learn about swarm robotics technology and their uses in environmental crisis, coding, machine learning and much more.
