WHEN THE WORLD SPOKE ARABIC is an interactive, immersive experience from 1001 Inventions that brings to life 21 Arabic books of science and knowledge that changed our world, and connects their ideas to the questions shaping society today.
Visitors meet the authors and their contemporaries from 1,000 years ago, explore replica interactive books and hands-on exhibits, and discover how the Golden Age of Arabic science helped shape modern thinking across disciplines. It’s a powerful STEAM/STEM + culture experience: science and experimentation, technology and invention, the art of bookmaking and storytelling, all designed to spark curiosity and pride, and drive action.
Produced by Ahmed Salim (1001 Inventions / 1001 Foundation), creators of globally recognised educational experiences developed with leading international partners. 1001 Inventions experiences have reached 15+ million visitors worldwide, alongside award-winning films seen by hundreds of millions.
