The blockbuster exhibition will be anchor attraction at ‘Zidni Ilman’
The Ministry of Education at the Kingdom of Bahrain announces that from 18 April to 4 May it will host an award-winning 1001 Inventions Exhibition celebrating over 1,000 years of scientific and cultural achievements from the Golden Age of Muslim Civilisation, as an anchor attraction at the Ministry’s Educational Exhibition ‘Zidni Ilman”.
The leading exhibition will be hosted for the first time in the Kingdom of Bahrain and will be showcasing the ground-breaking scientific, technological and cultural achievements of the Golden Age from the 7th century onwards that stretched from Spain to China.

Exhibitions produced by 1001 Inventions have already received more than six million visitors at blockbuster residencies in cities around the world breaking visitor number records, aiming to inspire young people to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and medicine and build their capacity towards building a better future for their country.

We are very pleased to be introducing to our students and people in the Kingdom of Bahrain this award-winning exhibition that showcases the crucial role people from this region played in the development of science and technology 1,000 years ago’ He added ‘Students and families in Bahrain will be introduced to scientists and scholars who lived during the Golden Age of Muslim Civilisation and understand their contributions to our modern world in a fun and interactive way – people like Ibn al Haytham, Ibn Sina, al-Razi, Fatima al-Fihri and many more…”

1001 Inventions productions highlight the role of men and women of different faiths and cultures that worked together in Muslim Civilisation, building upon the knowledge of ancient civilisations, and helping to make breakthroughs that have left their mark on our lives today.
This ‘1001 Inventions’& exhibition features a diverse range of exhibits to enthrall visitors and enrich their knowledge, including interactive displays, electronic games and models that bring to life historic role models from Muslim Civilisation.
The exhibits will be showcased at eight main zones, each of which highlights achievements and discoveries in a certain field – such as engineering, agriculture, medicine and surgery, geography and marine science, astronomy, optics, and education.
Schoolteachers and parents from across Bahrain will be invited to introduce the nation’s young people to the inspirational role models featured within the exhibition. The activities within the exhibition are specifically designed to help pupils develop their skills and talents, and the Ministry of Education has arranged bookings for primary and secondary school children to visit the exhibition, and are encouraging teachers to use the teaching products and illustrative materials accompanying the exhibition to enhance the learning process. The exhibits and educational materials will be available in both English and Arabic.
