The award winning organisation 1001 Inventions brings history to life with travellers’ tales. Audiences will soon take journeys to follow quests and unravel exciting stories from an age of travel and discovery in Muslim civilisation.

Where explorers and travellers like Ibn Battuta, admiral of the Chinese fleet Zheng He, master navigator Ibn Majid, Ibn Jubair and Al-Masoudi braved all elements to seek new experiences and knowledge.

14th century famous traveller Ibn Battuta takes centre stage ravelling some of the exciting stories of his travels around the world that lasted 29 years. Ibn Battuta’s journey took him to more than 40 countries.

1001 Journeys is a series of productions that include interactive touring exhibits, films, live shows and educational materials for schools.

Through raising awareness of the journeys made by explorers from Muslim civilisation, 1001 Inventions aims to inspire children and young people and equip them with a mind-set that enables them to build a better future.
