Join explorer Al-Jahiz on a journey of discovery bringing his 9th century ‘Book of Animals’ to life. The film will explore the animal kingdom through the eyes of 9th-century explorer Al-Jahiz who, in addition to being a famous writer of prose, wrote an encyclopaedic work about animals that is probably the first book to be written in the Arabic language about the topic.

Unfortunately, many of the animals featured in his ancient manuscript are now endangered species! Urgent action is required to help protect and care for all living creatures… starting with a commitment to strive to live in harmony with nature!
