New global record achieved for a 1001 Inventions exhibition

Riyadh, 24th September 2014: The world’s leading exhibition about the history of science from Muslim Civilisation received more than half a million visitors during its 4-week residency in the Saudi Capital Riyadh last month.

The 1001 Inventions exhibition in Riyadh was a main attraction hosted by King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture at Saudi Aramco’s iThra Knowledge Programme. The exhibition, which was declared the world’s best by the European museums Industry, highlights a thousand years of scientific, technological and cultural achievements from the seventh century onwards, a period known as the “Golden Age of Muslim Civilisation” stretching from Spain to China.
