The 1001 Inventions award-winning exhibition is currently on a five-year global tour and, following blockbuster runs in London, Istanbul and New York, it will enjoy its US West Coast Premiere at the world-renowned California Science Center, in Los Angeles, on the 27th of May 2011. Following the official public launch, the exhibition will be open to the public daily between 10am and 5pm, free of charge, until the end of the year.

1001 Inventions will open its doors to visitors of all ages to visit, learn and interact with over 60 multi sensory exhibits across seven zones representing different areas of science and invention. California Science Center, Los Angeles

A trip to 1001 Inventions is not complete without a visit to the ExploraStore where a range of educational products related to the exhibition from books to miniature elephant clocks can be purchased.

The California Science Center is the West Coast's largest hands-on science center and also the most popular museum destination in Southern California, receiving more than 18 million visitors since opening in February 1998. An admission-free venue, the Science Center offers permanent and changing exhibits and related educational programming through several galleries.

The location of the center is Exposition Park, which is also home to an IMAX cinema, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, the Natural History Museum of LA County, the Exposition Park Rose Garden, the California African American Museum, the Science Center School and Amgen Center for Science Learning.
