Royal opening to 1001 Inventions and Dubai Culture exhibit on Creativity inspired by the House of Wisdom

Dubai Crown Prince Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended special 1001 Inventions event in partnership with Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), Dubai’s dedicated entity for culture, arts and heritage; that showcase aspects from the Golden Age of Muslim Civilisation.

Augmented Reality interactive exhibits from 1001 Inventions at the Global Islamic Economy Summit in Dubai highlighted how values that enabled the development of the House of Wisdom and a creative golden age 1,200 years ago, still inspire ambitious innovative initiatives like Dubai Culture’s Creatopia platform today.

This special event comes as part of a collaboration between 1001 Inventions and Dubai Culture to celebrate the rich legacy of creativity and innovation from Muslim Civilisation and how it continues to inspire young people today.

Co-Founder and Director of 1001 Inventions, Ahmed Salim, said:

More than 3,000 international dignitaries, industry leaders and media personalities attended the Summit. Participants engaged with the interactive displays at the event and were introduced to a rich legacy from the history of Muslim Civivilisation.

Dubai Culture Wraps Up its Participation at Global Islamic Economy Summit 2016 as Knowledge Partner

As Knowledge Partner of the Summit, Dubai Culture collaborated with ‘1001 Inventions’ – an award-winning international science and cultural heritage organisation focused on raising awareness of the creative golden age of Muslim civilization – and delivered a special instalment inspired by ‘House of Wisdom’ that showcased Dubai Culture’s ‘Creatopia’ virtual platform for the creative community.
