1001 Inventions School Fairs programme aims to spark children’s interest in science while helping them gain vital skills in research, collaboration and presentation as they develop their very own 1001 Inventions exhibits. Such exciting learning, inciting creativity and imagination, is coupled with discovering stories of lesser-known pioneers of different cultures and backgrounds from the golden age of Muslim civilisation that stretched from Spain to China from the 7th century onwards.
Through this Programme, 1001 Inventions provides to selected schools free downloadable resources including step-by-step guides to help plan students’ projects. Also, detailed content, fascinating research, images, science activities, videos, posters, performance scripts and other activity ideas to help build students creative skills and develop their project.
By getting involved, students explore the incredible advances of this period of history – and then conduct their own research, experiments, exhibits and performances to share these stories with their friends and families.
1001 Inventions School Fairs involve colourful costumes, cardboard and LEGO models, experiments, poems and performances, and lots of fun and learning. While activities are primarily related to science, the Programme as a whole also celebrates culture and the arts.
